Patricia & Keith Lovell have been involved with Terriers since they first purchased an Airedale in 1967. In 1970 that girl, by then, "Champion Strongfort Samantha Jo" won the breed at the Royal Melbourne Show.  In 1971 Keith's judging commenced as an Open Show Judge.

Ch Strongfort Samanth Jo founded the renowned, TJURINGA, kennel. Breeding approaching 100 Champions. As well as Airedales; Smooth Fox Terrier, Irish Terrier and Welsh Terrier Champions in several countries (including the USA, New Zealand, Finland and Sweden). Additionally Keith and Patricia Lovell bred several Champions under Fanfree & Darewe prefixes in partnerships which also imported a number of Welsh Terriers.

Tjuringa has been significant in the development and success of many Airedale breeders in Australia and influential internationally. EG.Airedales American Champion and Australian Champion Tjuringa Yahoo and International Champion, Swedish Champion and Australian Champion Tjuringa INXS while Fox Terrier Australian Champion and Finnish Champion Tjuringa Nike is in pedigrees all over Europe thanks to Paulla Heikenen-Lekkonnen.

Irish Terriers is a more recent and passing success.

Airedales however are our first love and true love. We are proud to be considered among the leading Airedale and Welsh Terrier breeders in Australia.

Keith and Trish Lovell have always prepared and handled their own dogs. In the year 2000 in the UK Keith won "The Best Overseas Handler" judged by renowned professional handler (and Airedale breeder), Ernest Sharpe.

One of Keith Lovell's most exciting days was in 1986 when he had the great honour of judging over 140 Airedales at the Montgomery County Kennel Club in the USA. Another was winning Best in Show with the great Airedale bitch Ch. Tjuringa Hurrah under judge Arthur Lodge of the UK where he competed in an entry of 174 Airedales.

Keith Lovell has judged terrier club shows in most Australian states, Montgomery County and Great Western (USA), Sweden, Denmark, Argentina, New Zealand, Hungary, Romania and is regarded as one of the leading international terrier judges with extensive experience. Keith Lovell's judging credentials in general are equal to the best and of Airedales in particular must be close to the leader of the pack. Keith has bred, groomed, handled and exhibited his own Airedales, Welsh, Fox Terriers and Irish Terriers to Championship title. He has also owned and exhibited Rottweilers and shown a Greyhound.

In 2003 Keith judged the Terrier Club of Tasmania show (at the Hobart Royal), in 2004 as well as a number of local and country shows, it was off judging to Perth, the Canberra Royal, New Zealand, Romania, Hungary and in 2005 three shows in New York and then another trip to Montgomery County Show weekend where he judged Airedales at Hatboro. In 2006 he judged in the Philipinnes in February, Sweden in July, Norway in August and Hawaii in September. In 2007 it was one off show in Hungary and a visit to the Midland Counties show in England. 2008 is proving most interesting with the wonderful honour of judging the World Terrier Specialties in Sweden Australian Terriers, Bedlingtons and Kerry Blue Terriers. He will also judge in the USA and FCI INternational shows in Finland, Poland, Portugal, Croatia and Norway. In Portugal Keith will judge the National Terrier Show.Keith judges over 100 breeds and in the past has judged in USA, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Argentina, Hungary, Philappines, Romania, Norway, South Africa and all Australian States. Keith returned from judging in Romania in September 2004. The Terrier Club Show was really very interesting with some lovely Airedales and Welsh. He also judged an FCI International All Breeds Show and a Romanian Kennel Club all breeds show in the famous DRACULA DOG SHOW.

The Lovell's earlier trip to Hungary in April 2003 was a success. The judging assignments in Szilvasvarad included two FCI (CACIB) International Shows and the Hungarian Terrier Club Show as well as a number of breed specialties. An amazing and beautiful show. Set in the wine district on the property of the Lipazzano Stud (Lippica).Best in show was a fifteen thousand dollar (US) colt. The BIS judge was splendidly paraded into the ring in a "royal" coach pulled by four magnificent Lippizanno horses. All judges and exhibiters had a sensational time filling the town which remained festive for days. The organisers were impecible and the whole populous so very friendly.

2007 presentsed another exciting year judging in three Australian States and Hungary, USA and South Africa. Keith is proud to have been returned to many countries and many shows. Four times invited to Kennel Club of Beverly Hills, Three times the Hawaiin Kennel Club, twice the Dracula Shows, the Airedale Club of Argentine and many more. Keith has judged best in show in the USA on at least three occassions.
