Comments : hi my name is ehrin, i have just recently got myself a male maremma named tusky. he is a year old dec 09 hes purebred. i had no idea about this dog until i got him. everyone loves him. i was thinking of breeding him! what would be the age to start? also im from a little country town in the mallee and i have neva seen anything like him around here. how would i go about breeding him? as i dont want to cross breed him. he is just way to gorgeous. he would be a great asset to have around the area i live as its mostly farming country! a lot of the farmers have already commented on him. he is a wonderful dog. i neva thought i would love anything more than my cat but tusky is just so gorgeous and wins my heart everytime i see him! thanks ehrin

Comments : We have three Maremmas, chooks, 5 goats and two sheep. Our acreage is surrounded with dingo's and wild dogs. I see them almost daily. Yet, we have never had any trouble.
An added bonus is that they are an amazing dog to own. Very loyal and we are never bored and always laughing. I also have no doubt any or all of them would protect our children with their life. My only wish is I new about this breed years ago
