Comments : I have had Beddies since I was 17 (now 58). They are very intelligent, gentle but strong-willed dogs (you must be very firm with them). Don't let all that fluffy coat fool you, they are fighters (only when attacked) and excellent watch and guard dogs. The first one Prince would protect any woman or child from even being touched by a man! They really are perfect for having indoors as they are very clean and naturally very low odour. My current Beddie bitch can be let out the front door to explore the front garden for new doggie smells but she never goes past the letterbox. At night when I am watching tv she may get bored and either question, "Where is your ball?" or "Mouse, Mouse!" creates great excitment and searching. I pity any mouse that is silly and enters the house or yard.

Comments : I have loved bedlingtons ever since having one as a child.He was given to me by a friend who couldn't keep him as they already had two other dogs. Apparently a relation had bought him in WA and brought him to SA. He was the best dog and lived until he was 13. I loved your site and wondered whether he may have been from you?
