2009 IN SUMMARY

Last shows for the year at LANCEFIELD saw some great results for our boys:

"TERJE" took 2 X BOB and

2 X RESERVE BEST OF GROUP

2009 saw a lot happening at Bohunt with Axle (Bohunt Pillow Fight) arriving into the ring with great gusto and the most impressive baby I have had since his father (Aust & NZ Pillow Talk). I made the decision to work part-time from home so have been able to be with the dogs all day - this has been a fantastic thing for both the dogs and myself. Many of my dogs are in homes with families and are just shown on some weekends.

In May I travelled to Sweden to be with Erica Winberg (Kennel Sweeping) and had the opportunity to handle the World famous Border Terrier SVCH S N INT UCH NV-05 SV-08 WW-08 NORDV-08 Damdyke Gentil Hugel (Nor) - Imp SWE also known at home as "Terje". He was the most impressive dog I have ever seen and after much arm twisting, his owner (Erica) and breeder Turid (Turid Helene Stamnes - Kennel Damdyke) agreed to let him come to Australia. He has settled in better than could ever have been forecast and has established himself as the main boy here and part of my family. While in Sweden I handled him to 4th BIS under Hans Van Den Berg from Holland.

I came home and very quickly finished Jonna's Australian Champion title at 12 months of age and later in the year Berri returned to the ring and finished her title just after her mating to Daz winning Intermediate In Show.

Terje was in the ring for a brief time in 2009 as he was released from Quarantine on the 2nd October. He had the opportunity to compete in only 2 of the 6 BT Club Pointscore Shows of which he was BOB at both giving him the maximum points. He also took at BOB at Sunbury Show with a substancial entry.

Axle's mother (Bertha) produced a litter in early August 2009 by Ch Conundrum Sweet Sir Galahad - Imp UK and the pick dog and bitch puppy were sent to Sweden to give Erica something new to show as I had 'poached' her gorgeous boy. Bohunt Clean Sweep & Bohunt Sweep The Board, arrived to a very cold snowy day early in November 2009. Another girl, Bohunt Tit For Tat, is co-owned with the Thomla Kennel (Malamutes) and she will be occasionally shown by the youngest member of the family, Laura.
