The Critques that "Shimmy", "Eli" and "Lexi" receive at GSD Specialty shows can be viewed on this page. They attend the same shows, but written critiques are only given from Minor or Junior upwards, so sometimes there will only be one critique for a specific show even though all dogs would have attended.

The gradings of Excellent MERIT and Very Good MERIT can be given at Breed Assessment Shows where the exhibit is viewed as being of a higher standard

64.5cm - 2yrs 10mths - double P1 upper left - an above medium size, medium strong, dry, typey, very well coloured, expressive, nicely balanced dog who gives avery good impression instance. Good strength of skull and foreface, good ears and ear set, dark eyes, dark mask, strong neck, high withers, firm straight back, good croup, very good fore and hidquarter angulation, very good fore and underchest, very good length of foreleg, stands correct when viewed from the front - in movement he shows very good drive and reach transmitted through a firm straight backline. A very willing worker showing lots of energy and drive.

Double P1 upper left, 64cms above medium size, medium strong, very well proportioned raw young dog, he is dry and firm, good head and expresson, very good length of neck, stands with normal wither, just slight nick behind, straight back, slightly short, well laid croup, very good fore and underchest development, very good length of foreleg, stands correct in front, correct going and coming where he needs to be tighter in elbow connection. In movement shows very good ground cover with very good reach and drive where the back remains firm and the wither height is maintained.

In stance exhibits harmony, steps correct going and coming where the elbow connection could be a little tighter, exhibits powerful drive with very good forehand reach where both the back and the ligamentation is dry and convincing.

Good for and very good hindquarter angulation. Normal chest development. Stands east / west in front. Steps straight behind and slightly wide in front.  Flowing and energetic movement with powerful drive and the reach should be slightly freer.

Sound behind, a little loose in front, steps strongly in the hindquarter through a firm back, high wither with slight restriction in the forereach.

3rd October 2009 - ACT German Shepherd Dog Club

10 mths. Extra P1 top left. Above medium size, above medium strong, black and red male with a masculine head and relaxed espression, with very strong bones, good feet, good length of foreleg. He has a good length and angle of upper arm, good straight back, the hindquarter should show more turn of stifle, the croup is of good length and angle. Stands straight in front and behind. Sound coming and going, he should step longer in the hindquarter, he has a firm back, high wither, good reach. His gait is enthusiastic and he maintains a good overline.
