Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Jenny Baker and along with my partner Steve and 2 young daughters Corina and Rebecca we live with the canines of Jencol. Our dogs share our 5 acre property in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria, Australia. Our dogs are firstly family members who participate in every aspect of family life.

Having grown up in a household that revolved around Collies it was only a natural progression to breeding and exhibiting my own dogs.

 For my 17th birthday my parents gave me the best gift a doggified daughter could want, her name was Zoe a beautiful Smooth Collie bitch who went on to become Ch Cherrylea Raindance the dam of the first smooth collie 'CARLUKE' litter and who is still found behind ALL smooth Collies bred at Jencol.

In 1994 the 'JENCOL' prefix was born with the arrival Carluke Etched n Ebony's litter to Ch Lilymead Quester (imp UK), from this litter I retained Ch Jencol Designer Label (Lara) and to Jenny Wales went Ch Jencol Devil May Care (Chevy), both titled easily and have made their mark in the breeding stakes as well.

From Lara's first litter came Ch Jencol Make my Day ( Callaghan) who went to Sue Daly and was a prolific winner in NSW, unfortunately he left no progeny.

From Lara's Second litter to Ch Carluke Aint Misbehavin I retained Ch Jencol Plying with Fire ( Cosmo) who did extremely well in the ring and when he was mated back to his mother produced the lovely Ch Jencol Shanghai Lily ( Lily) Who whelped only 1 litter producing Ch Jencol Cherry Bomb ( Cherry).

In 2002 enter 'Kayla' aka Ch Dontrix Ethans Litlhotti 'A''Z' (imp NZ) a lovely GSD bitch who brought sunshine to my life when all was going haywire. Kayla was the Dam of the first (and only) GSD litter bred here.

 We are a very small kennel breeding only for our own needs, we aim to breed quailty animals who's beauty belies their functionality.

I owe so much to my family for their never ending advice and support through the good and bad times.
