Kalkite Papillons is located on the foreshores of Lake Jindabyne in the Heart of the Snowy Mountains. The small village of Kalkite is nestled under steep hills of the Kosciusko National Park and is endowed with panoramic views of the Lake and up towards the NSW snowfields.
Our little friends enjoy the warmth of our home as well as the freedom of the wide-open spaces that this wilderness area provides. They are all treated as members of our family.
Our adventure with Papillons began in 2002 after the passing of a 17-year friendship with 'Teddy', my faithful little Chihuahua. His loss came close to ending our ownership of any future 'little four legs'. Then unexpectedly we came across a 12 week old puppy that changed the direction of our lives. 'Pappy', as we named him, is now the patriarch of Kalkite Papillons and stands watch over the antics of all of the younger ones. He knows he's not the Show Dog but he know he's the Boss.
Due to our proximity to Canberra we follow the ACT and Far South Eastern NSW show circuits. We limit our showing to once a month. This allows us to enjoy more of the 'Kids' at home and also allows us to follow our other passion that lays at our front door - Trout Fishing.
