About Us
I first heard of the Kangal Dog through my sister who was looking for a guardian to protect her ostrich chicks, and along came Karla. I fell in love with Karla and shortly after met my husband, who also got caught up in Karla's charm. We soon put our name down on a waiting list for a puppy, and settled in for a wait.... we waited and waited and waited and then finally we had the news... we got one!! Jazmin came into our family in early October 2001 and we haven't looked back. We now have Five beautiful children (Jazmin, Rose, April, Leo and Lilly from our very first litter). We, unfortunatley, could see the breed slowing dying out in Australia as there were not very many dogs to breed from. We decided that we could not let this happen, and set out to find a male to bred our girls to. This proved to be very frustrating, but we have finally made it. Leo and Rose had a happy and healthy litter of nine Kangal puppies in August 2007. We will continue on our quest to promote this wonderful bred to all, and to keep them alive and well in Australia.
