KYZHARA German Shepherd Dogs

Dedication To Sorrow

KYZHARA BREAK AHEART 'A' CDX, ADX, JD. 21/10/1991 - 18/09/2001.

"Sorrow" was purchased from us by Tad & Rita Jaworski of Mackay in March 1993.

She was approximately 15 months old at the time and was for sale due to a forth coming litter.  This in time proved to be the most rewarding experience for everyone.  Not only did we gain a really precious friendship with Tad & Rita and their familiy, we got to see Sorrow very regularly, for Tad, having purchased a semi trained Obedience Dog needed some training himself so we suggested he should go to the local Obedience Club and learn how to handle the dog.

The experience was so rewarding he got "Sucked in", and Competition became his goal.  This pair went on in leaps and bounds with exceptional Scores, and went on to become the FIRST Dog in the District to gain Titles in Agility and later Jumping Competition.

Rita took over her Utility Training and Trialling when Tad got his new dog "Tazza", but still handled Sorrow in Agility/Jumping Competitions.

They travelled over 1000klm down to Brisbane to compete at The GSD National not once but twice,  in 1995 and again in 2000. (QLD only host a National every 5 years in rotation with the Southern States).

At the 1995 National Sorrow came 2nd in Open Obedience with a Score of 189 Points, and was placed 2nd in Novice Agility.

At the 2000 National she won 1st Place in Open Agility with 2 clear rounds and both 10 seconds under the Standard Course Time.

This culminated in being awarded an Excellent Medallion.

Her house mate "Tazza" (Ch./O.C. Karraine Red Alert 'Z' ADM, JDX, TD, ET.) came second to Sorrow and also Qualified in both rounds well under the SCT and also recieving an Excellent Medallion. No other qualifiers.

HISTORY WAS MADE THAT DAY, A BENCHMARK WAS SET FOR FUTURE COMPETITION!

Sorrow also placed 3rd in Utility Class, and gained a 4th place in Open Obedience.  Her sire was the 1995 Obedience Silver Medalist Karraine Warcry 'A' CDX. owned by us, and from our bitch *Karraine Bedazzled 'A' CD.

Sorrow continued her journey until the dreaded day she showed signs of unwellness at an Obedience Demonstration.  In true spirit she did her part, but as the day progressed she was clearly not well and was withdrawn from any further sessions.  On the way home she was taken to the Vet to be checked out, never in your wildest dreams would you have thought this athletic and agile companion was in the state she was in. She had not presented with any symptoms of any kind prior, but it was revealed that she was full of bleeding tumours.

Sorrow not only accomplished all that she was Titled in, she also had to her credit:

1 Utility Dog Qualification - (needing only 3 to become Titled.)

5 ADM Qualifications, (only needing 2 more for a Title)

1 JDX Qualification.

Sorrow was as gentle as a lamb, she was regularly used in Puppy School demonstrations, as well as having her Obedience Career, a true Companion, she bought us together with 2 people that became our extended family, and she brought a love of dogs and competition to her owners.  Tad even started a very successful Dog Washing and Dog Training Business.

She has made her mark, created friendships, was a true Ambassador, set a Benchmark, and helped start a new Career. Finally leaving us with sadness, but also with so much pride and with life long memories.

All this from one dog.

Thankyou  "Sorrow"  KYZHARA BREAK AHEART 'A' CDX, ADX, JD.
