Lyngala Lhasa Apsos

Our New Babies Page

ALL PUPPY INQUIRIES ARE MOST WELCOME

Welcome to our new babies page. Keep a watchful eye on this page to see how as our new babies grow and develop. We will be putting weekly photos on this page so you can see them feeding playing and sleeping, (they do a lot of sleeping when they are very young). You will witness changes they go through as they grow and the challenges they face in life. We hope you enjoy this experience.

Below here is a full pictorial diary of our last litter.

Welcome to our new babies, from Maree (Khelang-Kyi Maray Imp ESP) and Rory (Australian Champion Lyngala Lords R Leapin).

Maree is getting comfortable only a day before her new family arrives, 16th March 2008. She is making sure her place is just right. She is such a fussy mum, as you will see as her family grows and the great care she gives them.

We have arrived, 17th March 2008 (St Patricks day !)  Here they are, all safe and sound, cleaned up and ready to battle for their food, mum has loads of milk.

Our beautiful new babies on their second day of life, mum keeps them very clean and shiny. They are thriving so well, so full of life and oh so cute.

Wow !  We are 1 week old (24th March 2008), and just look at how much we have grown and become quite fat in our first week of life, our mum has a great milk bar, full of wonderful milk for us all.

Of course you can all see why we are so fat, mum has a great milk bar and we love our food !

Ohh ! Mum, do you have to do that when our human mum is looking ? Our mum is just the best at keeping us so clean. 'But mum I want my milk !'

Whoppee !  we are 2 weeks old ( 31st March 2008 ) and our eyes are starting to open, by the end of today we should be able to see what is going on and know what our human mummy and our real mummy look like, this is going to be an exciting day for us.

Our new babies are nearly 3 weeks old now, their eyes are open and they are growing so well. This photo shows them doing what my husband calls 'stack on'. After each feed they seem to do this formation, it is very funny to watch them. They are a very humorous little family with many things they do being very funny. They are also great time wasters and I love to watch them all day.

We are on the move, age 3 weeks today ( 7th April 2008 ) we are starting to walk and wrestle with each other, wag our tails and pile on top of each other for fun.  We are out of our round bed into the big bed where we can play and sleep. They are growing so fast and are so fat, mum is doing a great job.  They are a delight to watch each day as they do something new all the time. We have put them out of their round bed into the big whelping box with more room to play, they need it now.

Today, ( 11th April 2008 ) our lovely new babies have learned a new game, it is called 'you chew me I chew you'.  Here they are testing out this new game. I hope you can see that one parti color boy has an ear in his mouth, one gold boy is going for the tail and one seems stuck in the middle looking what she can chew, with the poor victim of it all stuck on the bottom of a 'stack on !'  LOL.

I hope you woke us up for food ? 16th April 2008, nearly that  full calendar month old and already with attitude, LOL. So cute.

17th April 2008. After months of planning and working hard we are all now in our new home and our Animal House shop is also at our new home, along with all our dogs and our precious babies. As you can see mum and babies could not care where they were as long as it was comfortable and warm. Mum needs her beauty sleep and babies still play, life continues the same.

Where have all the children gone, all my brothers and sisters have gone out to play.

I have just been out on an excursion and boy am I beat, I made my bed comfortable and now I am not moving anywhere, How cute am I ?? Today, 24th April 2008 our precious children had an assisted excursion to see the outside world, each puppy was carried outside to smell the roses and listen to the children playing in our neighborhood. I think it was a big day for this little baby.

Inside to rumble in the morning and then outside in a couple of days to bigger spaces.

Today, 30th April, our precious bunch had their first day outside in the big world, they all came out into our lovely tiled patio area to experience the day, here they all are cuddled up together in a crate asleep after their big morning of investigating. The big dogs all came up to check them out. We had to pen off an area so they would not come to any grief in our huge garden.

I had to include this precious shot of this little boy staring at me crawling around trying to get a good photo, he must be thinking us humans are very strange, LOL.

3rd May 2008, Puppy play dates have started and all our wonderful prospective puppy buyers have been out to see our magical 5. Here is Hilary, sorry Hilary we cut your head off. Everyone has been taken in by these adoringly beautiful puppies, they all have great personalities and everyone agrees that they are very confident little individuals with great strong typical Lhasa attitude.  Some of our visitors have had Lhasas in the past and immediately recognize these kids as true to type typical Lhasa Apsos.  It is truly wonderful to see these puppies so confident with strangers.

13th May 2008, well we have all had a most exciting, and tiring, week, with many visitors and we all got our names, well we think these are going to be our names.  Lots of baths (water was nice, but that drier, ooooh nooo) lots of nail trimming, (anything is a breeze after THAT drier), brushing lessons, standing still lessons, toilet lessons, and one day wet stuff came from the sky, but we were dry in our day play area.

Let us introduce ourselves, officially :-

Hi, my name is Stella, I am staying with my mummy to train for the show ring.

Hi, I am Liam, I am going home with Terry and Rick in early June. Terry may even show me, if I am a good boy and pass my puppy pre-school. I am very sure that I will pass after all I am top of the class here now.

Hi, I am Murphy, in early June I am going to go home with Terry and Jane, they live on the Gold Coast, they are retired and can spend all day with me and my new four legged friend Heidi, I can't wait to show Heidi what a Lhasa Apso gets up to.

Hi, I am Sweat Pea, in mid June I am going to go to my new home, with Liz, Chris and four legged friends, Boots (A Lhasa Apso, like me) and Jemima (A Border Collie). We will all live on a huge acreage just outside of Brisbane, where Liz and Chris work from home.

Hi, I am Tashi. My new mummy came to see me on Sunday and I love her, we spent all day together and had so much fun. I am going to be going home with Hilary very soon, I love her very much.

24th May 2008. All our wonderful babies are still with us, they all come inside at night to go to bed and then outside during the day to play. They start to leave us, one by one, as of the 4th June, after they have had their 12 weeks immunizations and their health check. They are all excellent babies that have been exceptional with their training, they all know the call to look and listen, as you can see in this photo. The flash has caught their eyes looking directly at me. We are very proud of them all.

Hi, I am Murphy, I am in my new home today 4th June 2008, this is Heidi and she is showing me around, she is pointing to something so I had to turn and look at what it was, she is so kind to be my leader. I think I love her, oh and I do love my new mummy and daddy too, Terry and Jane.

Who am I ????  I am Tashi and I am in the arms of my mummy !! I LOVE my mummy, we are in-separable. It is just mummy and I so I have her all to myself, just how I wanted life to be. We even have the same colour hair, see, mummy has long ears the same colour as mine.

Hi, I am Liam, I have made it to my new home with lots of new friends. I really like the two semi hairy ones that I am in the middle of, they have become my best friends, they follow me every where. The two big fair haired ones great too, they are BIG, gee I hope I grow up too.

And who said I was not daddies girl ??

Stella and John.

Hi, I'm Tashi and I had my first hair cut and I'm watching my favorite TV show with my mummy.

All of our wonderful babies have gone to their new homes and are settling in very well. I returned from my epic trip overseas on 13th July 2008, where I visited the Windsor Dog Show in England for 4 days, then I went onto Stockholm to see the World Dog Show which was held over 4 days. I saw many great dogs and certainly a trip like this is huge learning ground. No matter how much you read on the internet, no matter how many photos you look or people you speak to, nothing is like being there, seeing and touching all the dogs.

On my first weekend home I had my little Stella in her first show. She was wonderful, and it is my  pleasure to announce that she was awarded BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW, here is a photo of us with the judge, it was windy, so we were all worried about how she would look that there was no time to smile, LOL.
