10th April 2008 - It was a real family affair at the Toowoomba Royal Show in Queensland today. Murphy - Wolfskye Awesome Spirit was awarded RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED to his uncle Bridge - Ch Darksky Deity Zeus (ai) who was awarded BEST OF BREED and Rook - BISS Ch Wolfskye Eternal Spirit had to be content with BITCH CHALLENGE after her BEST OF BREED win last year. What a wonderful day and a huge congrats to Sue & Steve White who own all 3 winners and to Jess Richardson for her wonderful handling. Way to go guys.

23rd March 2008 - There has not been much happening at Wolfskye for the last 2 months, due to other committments which had to take priority. This resulted in Quake and Sapphy having a holiday elsewhere. Quake should be home next week and Sapphy came home yesterday. I am pleased to report that Sapphy has come home a very different girl. She is much more confident so hopefully will get back into the show ring after all... We haven't been to any shows since 28th January and Quake's next show won't be until June as he is now out of coat. I can't wait to get back out there. It will be nice to get everything back to normal around here.

28th January 2008 - Today at the Australia Day International Dog Club, "Quake" is awarded RESERVE DOG CHALLENGE under international judge Mr.I.Akiyama (Japan). Go "Quake"! 

13th January 2008 - Today at the Yarra Ranges Kennel Club, "Quake" is awarded a 12 point BEST OF BREED & IS SHORTLINED FOR GROUP under international judge Miss K.McIntyre (NZ). Go "Quake"!

24th November 2007 - Today at the Daylesford & District Agricultural Society under judge Mrs.E.Warner, with good competition, "Quake" is awarded a 13 point BEST OF BREED. Go "Quake". "Skye" was awarded BITCH CHALLENGE, RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED. It was a very sad day too as this was "Skye's" final show and she will now start her well earned retirement. What a wonderful show career "Skye" has had. BIS, RUBIS, RUBISS AUST GRAND CH DARKSKY BOUNTY SPIRIT WWPD ROA. She has been one of the most consistent bitch's out there and I'm sure that there are many people, who will be happy that she has now retired...... She has been an absolute pleasure to show and I have had so much fun with her in the ring. She is a very showy bitch and truly loves to show so she will be seen in veterans and de-sexed classes in 2008.

17th November 2007 - This weekend at the Kyneton Agricultural Society under judge Mrs.R.Robertson (NSW), "Skye" is awarded an 11 point BITCH CHALLENGE, RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED to finish her GRAND CHAMPION TITLE. What an effort. At only 6 1/2 years old, with 3 litters under her belt, this is no mean feat for a female who spends more time out of the ring, than in it.

6th November 2007 - Today at the Sunbury Canine Club, the largest one day dog show in the southern hemisphere, under international judge Mr.G.Kostopoulos (Greece), "Skye" is awarded BITCH CHALLENGE for the second year in a row. "Skye" is now only a few points away from her Grand Champion title. Let's hope that coat holds out LOL otherwise we will have to finish it next year.

20th October 2007 - Tonight in Queensland, "Murphy" Wolfskye Awesome Spirit, attended two more shows and again he was awarded BEST of BREED AT BOTH SHOWS. Well done "Murphy".....

30th September 2007 - Today was the Alaskan Malamute Club of Victoria's Championship Show. "Quake" had a wonderful day taking out BEST AUSTRALIAN BRED IN SHOW under international judge Mrs.J.Church-Stadler (USA). What a great result for his first ever Specialty show appearance.....

27th September 2007 - This week sees 2 of the biggest shows on the Melbourne Alaskan Malamute calendar. Today was the Royal Melbourne Show Malamute judging and I am proud to say that "Skye" was awarded BITCH CHALLENGE & RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED under international judge Mr.A.Capistrano (Brazil). "Rook" Ch Wolfskye Eternal Spirit made the trip down from Queensland and although she decided to dump her coat on the way LOL she still managed to win a decent sized Australian Bred Bitch class. Way to go kids. "Quake" had to stay home on baby sitting duty to look after "Miss Sapphy".......

15th September 2007 - At Belgrave and District Kennel Club today, "Skye" is awarded a 15 point BEST OF BREED and gets shortlined for group. "Quake" is awarded a 10 point DOG CHALLENGE. Well done guys....

8th September 2007 - Today at the Geelong and District Kennel Club, "Skye" is awarded BEST OF BREED and BEST OPEN IN GROUP. 

2nd September 2007 - Today at Hamilton Kennel Club, "Quake" Darksky Major Quake was awarded DOG CHALLENGE under breeder/judge Mr.Erich Singer. Not bad for his first shows since the start of the year. 

12th August 2007 - This weekend in Albury, "Skye" Aust Ch Darksky Bounty Spirit, was awarded BITCH CHALLENGE all 3 days and went on to get BEST OF BREED on the last day. The judge from South Africa commented after the show that she was very close to getting RUNNER UP BEST IN GROUP (Group 2). This was "Skye's" first shows in over 7 months! 

28th July 2007 - Tonight in Queensland at the Ladies Kennel Association of Queensland, "Rook" BISS Aust Ch Wolfskye Eternal Spirit, was awarded a 12 Point BEST OF BREED & JUNIOR IN GROUP. "Murphy", Wolfskye Awesome Spirit, was awarded a 9 Point DOG CHALLENGE & RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED to his sister "Rook". Well done guys! 

22nd July 2007 - Today in Melbourne, "Sapphy" Wolfskye Spirit N Stone (AI), had her 7th show for her 7th BEST BABY PUPPY OF BREED. This girl is on a roll..... 

24th June 2007 - This weekend in Melbourne, "Sapphy" Wolfskye Spirit N Stone (AI), attended her first 2 shows at 3 months of age. With good competition, "Sapphy" was awarded BEST BABY PUPPY OF BREED at BOTH shows. What a nice way to start her show career..... 

22nd June 2007 - Today in Queensland, "Rook" was awarded yet another BEST OF BREED at the Rosewood A & H Society. Well done "Rook". 

3rd June 2007 - Today in Sydney, "Rook" was awarded BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW at the Alaskan Malamute Club of New South Wales Championship Show under renowned Breeder judge Mrs.Nancy Russell (USA). What an absolute honour it was to win under such an icon in the Alaskan Malamute breed. To top it all off, "Rook" also gained the final points needed for her Australian Champion title and is now known as BISS Aust Ch Wolfskye Eternal Spirit. Talk about finishing in style...... At 14 months of age, "Rook" is the second youngest Alaskan Malamute to win a specialty in Australia. She is also the first champion for Wolfskye and I am so very proud of her. "Murphy" Wolfskye Awesome Spirit was awarded OPPOSITE SEX JUNIOR IN SHOW so he also had a great day. Way to go kids..... 

27th April 2007 - Today was a very stressful day at Wolfskye. "Skye" underwent surgery for Mammary Tumors. The tumors were discovered when she was 7 weeks pregnant with "Sapphy". Fortunately everything went well and I thank god that she got through it ok. Fingers crossed, they don't come back..... 

24th April 2007 - Happy Birthday to my two babies, "Skye" and "Quake". Today "Skye" celebrates her 6th birthday and "Quake" celebrates his 3rd. I hope you both have many, many more.... 

22nd March 2007 - More great news at Wolfskye. In Queensland today, "Rook" was awarded a 19 point BEST OF BREED at the Toowoomba Royal Show under Canadian judge Mrs.J.Beech. What a fantastic achievment for such a young bitch at only 12 months and 4 days old.... Her brother "Murphy" won 1st Place in the Junior Dog Class. Who would have thought that we would have had such wonderful news, 2 days in a row. 

21st March 2007 - Wolfskye are very proud to announce that "Skye's" gorgeous frozen semen baby (our first AI breeding) arrived today by c-section. Mum and baby are both doing fine. The proud dad is "Granite" - Am Ch Terrapin's Kasaan N Stone. Check out the Puppy Info page for photos. 

18th March 2007 - Happy Birthday "Rook', "Murphy", "Eski" and "Huss" who turn one year old today. These gorgeous babies were out of the first Wolfskye litter.

10th March 2007 - In Queensland today, "Rook" was awarded BEST OF BREED at the Greenbank Ag Society Champ Show picking up more points towards her Australian Champion title. Go "Rook". News from America is that Bonnie McMahon took "Maiyah" Am Ch Awanuna N Kasaan Fortune Factor to CRUFTS in England. "Maiyah" was awarded BITCH CHALLENGE & RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED with a total entry of 164 Alaskan Malamutes. Congratulations to Bonnie & "Maiyah". 

3rd March 2007 - In Queensland today, "Rook" was awarded BITCH CHALLENGE, RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED & BEST JUNIOR IN GROUP at the Gundogs & Heavy Breeds Club of QLD. "Rook" is now over half way towards her Australian Champion title.

17th February 2007 - In Queensland today, "Rook" was awarded another BITCH CHALLENGE, RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED at the Beaudesert Kennel Club Champ Show. "Rook" is now on 43 Points and is well on the way to her Australian Champion title. She has had a fantastic show career to date with very limited showing. "Murphy" was awarded RESERVE DOG CHALLENGE which was surprising as he is still not back in full coat. At the Open Show, "Rook" was awarded BEST BITCH, RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED & BEST PUPPY IN GROUP. A very successful result all round.

13th February 2007 - "Skye" has been confirmed pregnant to "Granite" by ultrasound today. Sorry, all puppies are spoken for...

3rd February 2007 - Today in Queensland, "Rook" Wolfskye Eternal Spirit was back in the ring. "Rook" had not been shown for almost 3 months after dropping her puppy coat. She was awarded another BITCH CHALLENGE and RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED and is now on 35 Points toward her title. She has done extremely well in very limited showing. Well done "Rook". Excellent result for a puppy...

28th January 2007 - Today at Cranbourne Dog Club under International judge Dr.R.Echevarria (Puerto Rico), "Quake" was awarded BEST INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP in a HUGE Intermediate line-up. Go Quake.... This was a nice follow up to his last shows in early January where he was awarded 2 BEST OF BREEDS and INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP.

18th January 2007 - Skye was bred to Granite today by frozen semen and puppies are due 20th March 2007. I'll be doing an ultrasound at 4 weeks to confirm she's pregnant so stay tuned....

30th December 2006 - It won't be too long until the pitter patter of little paws are running around at Wolfskye. "Skye" came into season yesterday and will be bred to "Granite's" frozen semen very soon so watch this page for updates. "Skye" has taken out "BACK TO BACK" in 2005 & 2006, the Most Successful Alaskan Malamute Bitch award in the AMCV Pointscore. Great effort considering she was out of the show ring for 7 months this year after having puppies back in March. I could not be prouder of this lovely girl.

5th December 2006 - After a few problems back in August, (gee that's an understatement LOL) "Granite's" semen has finally arrived in Australia. Fortunately everything went smoothly this time and early next year, "Skye" will be bred to "Granite" by frozen semen. Granite is Am Ch Terrapin's Kassan N' Stone. 25th November 2006 - Today in Queensland, "Rook" is awarded Bitch Challenge and earns more points toward her Australian Champion Title. In Melbourne, "Skye" is awarded another BEST OF BREED at the Wodonga Kennel Club Championship Show and is closing in fast on that Grand Champion title. She won't finish it until next year as she is just starting to lose her coat.

11th November 2006 - Today in Queensland, "Skye's" mum "Shania" obtained the last few points needed for her Grand Champion title by being awarded a 14 Point BEST OF BREED and is now known as RUBISS, RUBIS Aust Grand Ch / Int'l / Jr. Nat'l Ch Aspen Myst Aussie Star (IMP USA). This was under international judge Ms.Dany Canino (USA). Way to go "Shania!" A very deserving bitch and now she can retire at almost 8 years of age. "Rook" was Reserve Bitch Challenge to her grandmother and "Murphy" was Reserve Dog Challenge. The next day saw "Shania" at her last show, take Bitch challenge, Runner Up Best of Breed under Canadian judge Mr.F.MacDonald. "Rook" and "Murphy" again took both Reserve Challenges. A great weekend all round. 

7th November 2006 - Today at the Sunbury Canine Club Championship Show, "Skye" was awarded a 23 Point BEST OF BREED under Mrs.S.Greendale-Paveza (USA). Sunbury is the largest one day dog show in Victoria so this was an excellent win for "Skye". 

7th October 2006 - At her first 2 All Breed Championship shows in Queensland in the Minor Puppy class, "Rook" Wolfskye Eternal Spirit gets her first 8 points by being awarded Bitch Challenge, Runner Up Best of Breed and not only did she get BEST MINOR PUPPY IN GROUP at both shows, at the second show she was also awarded her very first BEST OF BREED (13 points). Well done "Rook". "Murphy" Wolfskye Awesome Spirit was awarded Reserve Dog Challenge at the second show. 

17th September 2006 - At her last show in the Baby Puppy class in Queensland today, "Rook" Wolfskye Eternal Spirit, takes out her 4th BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUP award. That's my girl "Rook". Not to be outdone, her mother "Skye" completed the requirements for her Working Weight Pull Dog  (WWPD) title. I am so very proud of you both. 

16th September 2006 - In Queensland today, "Rook" Wolfskye Eternal Spirit, at only her 4th show, was awarded her 3rd BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUP. Way to go "Rook". 

1st July 2006 - Wolfskye Eternal Spirit "Rook" and Wolfskye Awesome Spirit "Murphy" had their second show today in Queensland with "Rook" once again beating "Murphy" for Baby Puppy of Breed and then going on to win her second in as many shows, BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUP award. Congratulations guys I am so very proud of you both.

24th June 2006 - Wolfskye Eternal Spirit "Rook" and Wolfskye Awesome Spirit "Murphy" had their very first show today in Queensland with "Rook" beating her brother "Murphy" for Baby Puppy of Breed and then going on to win BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUP. Great effort for their first show at just 3 months old. "Quake" not to be outdone attended his first show in over 6 months in Victoria and finished up with RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED. Woohoo! That's my boy! Now if I actually trained him.........

18th June 2006 - Just 3 months after the birth of her puppies, "Skye" get's her 3rd leg toward her WWPD title and she did it in great style. Not only did she pull 454kg, she also finished 2nd Malamute overall in the competition! Only one more leg to go. "Quake" also did ok today pulling 244kg. Way to go guys!
