Comments : Hi Peter and Chris, great to have a look at your web site. Maremma's are a very unique breed of dog. I have 4 white wonders, 1 male and 3 females. All my dogs I have been rescued from the pound and RSPCA. All 4 are big sooks and very protective and so so loyal. I can't understand why their owners didn't want them, but the have a wonderful life now, no more abuse or hungry. A life of luxury and pampering!!!!

Your dogs are wonderful! I really love to have a Maremma to join my Doberman one of these days! I have done a lot of research and I know that it can be difficult to raise Maremma as a companion, but I really look forward to it! Comments : Hi.We lost our beloved mareema of 14 years last year december 2010 to a tumour. We miss him so dearly and never a day goes pass shedding a tear. We would very much like to get another mareema but not just yet as I still haven't gotten over my beloved Simba. We've just moved from QLD to WA and it seems hard to find them here. Thank you so much for your website and your dogs are beautiful. Looking at your album I wish I was there to cuddle them all. I will for sure be in contact for a pup in the near future. : )

Comments : Maremma's are fantatsic breed. We currently have 2 girls at the moment almost 10 months old. Such different personalities even though they are sisters. One is constantly by your side, the other hangs back always on watch. We had another girl previously but lost her after 3 short years. We were definate when we replaced her another maremma would take her place, little did we know at the time 2 would join the family. Your website is full of useful info and lovely photos and used it as part of my study before getting the 2 pups.

Comments : We have just lost our beloved maremma, Bella, to cancer after 9 years of having a truly wonderful friend. We actually live in the "Burbs" but were really vigilant about her daily exercise with a lot of time spent down at the beach. She was a favourite around the neighbourhood due to her gentle and calm manner. She never seem fazed - except by the train & the vet! It's been lovely checking out your website and to know where to come should we decide to go down the "maremma track" again. For now we are content to have such great memories.

Comments : Hello, I just wanted to let you know how much I love my Maremma 'Henry' his sire is CH. Schaferden Royal Gaurd - Henry will be 10 years old in June 2010. He is the absolute love of my life! I would like to get another puppy with the same blood line if possible. To me the Maremma is one of the most beautiful creatures on earth.

Comments : Hi, we have one of your Maremmas and she is the most beautiful and loyal dog ever... Her name is Saritah and arrived to us in Perth as a gangly puppy and has been an precious part of our family for 7 years now. She is not a working dog but a companion and security for my wife whilst I am away from home, a role she fills to perfection. She has the run of the paddocks but will also settle quietly on the chain when required. As described she is highly intelligent and you can actually see her thinking of her options before deciding on a course of action. ( if you need a dog that obeys every command then this is not the dog for you ) She loves nothing better than to be by my side in everything I do, which can make it a bit difficult if I'm working underneath the car with both hands occupied and she thinks this is a great time to snuggle up and give me a kiss. She also knows who she likes and does not and can be very friendly or vary wary and circling.
She knows her boundaries but will try and enlarge them if not checked. She will very happily let people come in the gate but they have a problem if they come over the fence.
Not the dog for city living but a perfect companion for the wide outdoors.

They are, as you say, very protective of their families and wary of anyone new entering the family environment.
