About Us
 |
Our love of this amazing breed began in 1995 when after much research into many favourite breeds, we finally decided that the remarkable bullmastiff was the one for us. The following year brought us 'Olbailee Scarlet Lady' who we nicknamed Katie. She was a lovely red girl of 18 months of age, with excellent lines, but was very much a real firecracker! She was exceptionally intelligent & quickly bored so took incredibly well to training. Katie learnt to shake hands, roll over, bark on command, sit, stay, drop & to do all of this with nothing but hand signals to direct her! This unforgettable girl was to be our foundation bitch, however, we were never successful at realising our dreams of a Katie litter.
In 1998 we were lucky enough to be allowed to purchase what was to be our real foundation bitch - 'Bankg Ivory Moon' who we lovingly nicknamed Lou Lou. I picked her out of 21 puppies and begged to be allowed to buy her, but the breeders were adamant that they would be retaining her, so I resigned myself to the fact that she would never be my little angel. While trying to settle on another bullmastiff pup, my eyes were forever wandering off to the cheeky little fawn girl that was running amok - but time and again I was told that she wasn't going anywhere.
Disappointed I picked a very cute red girl, but always had the fawn in the back of my mind. Two weeks before I was due to pick up the little red, I received a wonderful 'phone call...the breeders wanted to know if I still wanted the eye-catching fawn, and of course I screamed 'YES'! Amazingly, we were to have that sensational bullmastiff puppy that had stuck in my mind from the moment I saw her amongst a sea of 20 others; & that one call brought us the most loving, beautifully natured and stunningly gorgeous, Lou Lou.
Lou Lou has gone from strength to strength, getting better and better in the passing years. Having been shown relatively lightly she has claimed several 'Best of Breed' & 'Runner Up Best of Breed' awards, as well as 'Best Body in Show' & 'Challenge Bitch' & 'Reserve Challenge Bitch' at both all-breed and specialty fixtures under local, interstate and international judges. At 5 years of age she has produced 2 wonderful litters of bullmastiff puppies (some of whom were whelped in August 2003 & are pictured in the 'Photos' section) one pup, 'Nobledogs Arielle' (from her 2001 litter) was retained in the hope of carrying on this amazing lady's legacy.
'Nobledogs Arielle' may be viewed in the 'Our Dogs' section and on our 'Home' page. Known as the delightful Elle, she has been shown lightly but with much success. Her biggest brags include being awarded 'Best Puppy in Show' (BMCWA Champ Show 2002) & taking out 'Best Owner Bred & Handled in Show' (BMCWA Championship Show 2003) under breed specialist & author, Bill Walkey (Canada).
Her full-brother (the awesome red Lou Lou son, 'Nobledogs Apollo') won 'Challenge Dog' at the same fixture and under the same acclaimed judge & bullmastiff breeder, Bill Walkey. His win was despite some incredible competition from both Western Australia & interstate, & was a huge accolade for such a young dog (just over 2 years of age) to be awarded.
'Nobledogs Acorn' (another 2001 Lou Lou baby) has recently been hip & elbow scored with sensational results. 'Acorn' scored 0/0 for her elbows & 0/2 (Total: 2) for her hips; just awesome!
'Nobledogs Arielle' has also had an exciting 2003 by producing her first ever litter of pups. Some of her babies feature on the 'Photos' page & in all honesty, they are better than we could ever have hoped for!
As bullmastiff breeders, Nobledogs Bullmastiff Kennels aim to produce dogs with, (first & foremost), awesome temperaments.
We strive to produce bullmastiffs that are suitable for a variety of pursuits (including the showring, obedience classes, simple companionship & trustworthy family members).
We are focused on producing sound bullmastiffs of great type, that are well rounded 'people-lovers', are socialised and well-mannered, that possess intelligence & a willingness to learn, & that enjoy the company of people and family members as much as we enjoy theirs.
We put 110% effort into our wonderful bullmastiff puppies in the hope that we can impress their new families by giving them incredibly healthy, well-mannered, & overall delightful new bullmastiff additions - but as with many great things, this comes at a cost... in return for all that we put into our pups, we simply cannot settle for anything but the best of homes for them, & so we are very sorry, but we only allow our little angels to go to approved homes only.
We hope that you enjoy our website & getting to know some of our lovely big bullmastiffs, our cuddly little bullmastiff puppies, & our giant extended family of which we are so proud. We are always more than happy to answer any queries that you may have about the breed, so please do not hesitate to contact us:)
