We  wanted to let you all know that we we will be working overseas for 12 months.  When we return we will hopefully have a beautiful new lagotti to add to our small family.

The family we have here in Perth will be well looked after during my working trip.  Hugo is of course coming with me, and my family and friends are temporarily looking after my dog family!   It is likely that there will be one litter of lagotti in the next 12 months - so please feel free to get in touch.

When I come back, we will then get back into the showing scene and campaign the stunning lagotti.  In the meantime, we will rely on the couple of quality lagotti we have placed out for showing.  One in Australia and as you all know, Zara is being shown in Canada and the USA.  Zara has just obtained her Championship title (yet to be confirmed).

For prospective purchasers we want you to know what those conditions are:  Firstly, prior to letting anyone have a Nugold Lagotto we will need to know about the home and environment you can offer.  We consider that only fair and reasonable - given we bring these babies into the world, nurture them at the foot of the bed (Yep, I know!!), kiss and cuddle them, play and hug them....well, I am sure you can understand why we ask such questions of the new moms and dads!  This we already ask and require. 

Secondly, we believe that a more inclusive package should be given to each new "parent".   Whilst we have always tried to give as much of the following as possible, we have not previously been quite so comprehensive.  We will always strive to improve and believe this is a step forward:  This consists of the following:

• Comprehensive dietary instructions
• Breed information
• Grooming information
• Sire and Dam background information
• Vet checked at 6 and 8 weeks and/or prior to leaving us
• wormed and vaccinated (you will be required to provide a further vaccination around 12/13 weeks) Worming tablet will be provided for the 12 week worming
• microchipped
• Pet Plan Insurance for the first 6 weeks
• desexing (preferred to be done by my vet, however if intrastate then it will need to be done by your vet.  A certificate of desexing to be provided to me prior to receiving a refund 
• Pedigree - provided upon receipt of desexing (if sold as a pet)
• Contract - advising the terms and condition of sale (whether sold as a pet or show/breeding)
• practical advice and assistance 7 days a week either by telephone or email.
• Pet pack
• Raised in a loving, family home. 
• Full support - I am only a phone or email away!

Costs:             $1750 + $250 BOND UNTIL DESEXED.  REFUNDED UPON RECEIPT OF VETERINARY CONFIRMATION.

The price quoted is for a pet. 

We are happy to consider selling for Show and/or Breeding - however, this is not something we will do lightly.  Price upon application.

Our main concern is for the purity of this beautiful breed.  We are determined that "as best as we can" the breed will remain true to the standard and the way the Italian Breeders of Lagotto intended.  To do anything less would be disrespectful and would not have the breed at their heart!

We would love to see more Lagotto Romagnolo being exhibited, whether conformation, agility, obedience, scenting, flyball etc.  They are such great ambassadors for the dog world that it would be a real pleasure to see more of them being recognised.

Our Background

We were the FIRST and at this stage we are still the only breeders in WA to  Import this extremely rare breed of LAGOTTO ROMAGNOLO from the Country of Origin - ITALY -  into Western Australia.

We are still very excited at our new Italian Boy, Sam a solid brown male who has settled in very well.  We are very privileged that Cristina and Davide have allowed us to have second Lagotto from them, particularly as we did not have the time to show Duca as much as we should have.   Sam is a unicoloured brown male, whose bloodlines compliment Duca's and therefore we are extremely excited about our future Lagotti breeding program, which we truly hope will benefit the breed here in Australia - as that is our reason for bringing Sam here. 

It is our intention to exhibit a lot more over the coming years, so that people get the chance to see more of this truly remarkable breed.  We will have the ability to show most of the colours ie off white and orange, solid orange, brown roan, off white and brown, solid brown - which will allow visitors to the dog world to see not only how beautiful this breed is, but the different colours available.

We have been involved in Gundogs for 30 years.  Initially with Golden Retrievers and for the past 9 years has also included the Lagotti from Italy. 

It is extremely important to us that we ensure that this breed remains true to the intentions of those Italian Breeders who have now allowed us to be part of this wonderful breed.  Ensuring the breed standard is maintained by type, height, weight, coat (the curls in the coat are most important feature of the breed).  We are all relatively new in Australia with this breed, and interpretations on what is and is not correct,  is an area that we need to be vigilant with.  The Lagotto Romagnolo are excellent companions and are a true pleasure to have in my life.  I am blessed that I can be part of introducing this stunning breed into Australian homes!

We are small family breeders, whose dogs are part of the family.  Our emphasis is on breeding to the highest standard we possibly can achieve. This have involved many years of research, before importing new bloodlines to Australia. This is to ensure that the animals we have are from excellent bloodlines, are healthy and have had all the right tests.  With such a small gene pool in Australia, we believe we need to import for the future good of this breed in Australia. We are also blessed that we can be entrusted with such precious animals by those breeders who will allow us to import to Australia.  We thank you!
