Pomeranians
The Pomeranian is believed to have descended from wolf-spitz type dogs which at some early period migrated to Pomerania from the north of Russia and Siberia. Pomeranians were established as a breed in the eighteenth century after they drew the interest of the English Monarchy.
The Pomeranian is a small compact dainty dog with a dense double coat of long hair. The Pomeranian is extroverted lively and very intelligent, and very protective and loyal towards its human family.
The double coat of the Pomeranian does not require as much attention as some other coated breeds but does require grooming at least once a week. The Pomeranian comes in a range of colors ranging from creams, chocolates, black, sable, orange, red and beaver just to name a few. The average height and weight of the Pomeranians varies between 2kg to 3kg and between 23cm to 30cm.
