Russaird BRT's, where breeding is for Soundness, Strength, Working and Show qualities.

Russaird is a small kennel based north of Brisbane in Queensland. I have been involved with this wonderful breed for 9 years now and can't imagine not having them for the rest of my days.

Russaird is home to  Multi BIS Australian GRAND Ch Cimarron Gengis Khan (Berg) - the 1st BRT outside Europe to win BIS at All Breeds level and 2005 Queensland Dog of the Year R/U. Since then Berg has won a further 9 BIS (All Breeds) taking his total to 10. An outstanding achievement for a rare breed and all achieved in a period from April 2005 to July 2007.

Berg has been described as "world class" and an "outstanding dog with superb athleticism and movement". He is also a wonderful companion and a complete clown at home. Now in semi-retirement he will make an appearance or two in 2012.

Russaird is also home to Ch Cimarron Spectak Qu Larr (Kira)- a sound and superbly tempered bitch who is definitely the "peacemaker" of the tribe. A multi class in group winner Kira admirably completed motherhood and is now happily retired.

Ch Cimarron Second Sight (Mir) is our oldest BRT - our "pocket rocket" with movement to envy despite her age. Having not had the best of starts in life she has settled in very well and is a loving and affectionate girl while retaining those classic guarding tendencies.

Russaird is also home to the fabulous Aus Ch Andraya of Berryland (Andy - aka Andy Pandy Underpants) - all the way from Austria. Please have a look at Andy's page - she is a welcomed addition to our little family. She is already titled with multiple BIG and RUBIG awards as well as multiple classes in group and show to her credit from limited showing. Andy is now firmly ensconsed in motherhood.

Russaird is also home to our next generation of BRTs....Russaird Rated R Superstar "Edge", Russaird Diamonds Shilo "Chyna" and Russaird The Glamazon "Betty Boo Cow"...already all winners at class and show level I am so proud of these youngsters.

Russaird is also delighted to introduce Briard Ch Tiahart Jadzia Dax (Jadzi) - a gorgeous, vibrant fawn bitch from Tiahart kennels in Sydney. She has a fabulous temperament and definitely epitomises the "heart wrapped in fur" description of the breed.

Russaird is proud to have both show dogs and family companions in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and Western Australia....we are delighted that our pups are in demand in both New Zealand and the US.
