1 on 1 Therapy Dog, Fought for the Right of ALL WAR SERVICE DOGS to March in the ANZAC DAY PARADE.

Invited to the DAWN SERVICE and asked to lay a WREATH OF REMEMBRANCE FOR THE WAR DOGS PAST & PRESENT.

Assisted in raising the money for the VERY FIRST WAR DOG MEMORIAL to be on MEMORIAL GROUNDS ALONGSIDE THEIR FELLOW SOLDIERS, whom they gave their lives for.

Led the GUARD OF HONOUR for THE FULL MILITARY DEDICATION SERVICE OF THE "WAR DOG MEMORIAL" only to have ARSONISTS burn down the VETERANS MEMORIAL CENTRE with the WAR SERVICE DOG MEMORIAL inside the building for safe keeping.

Such a shame that he won't have the chance to pass on his NEAR HUMAN qualities to his OFFSPRING.

ANITA PETTENHOFFER S.V.[Vict]      CRITIQUE: 3YRS/3WEEKS - Very Large, Strong, Very Substantial Dog, Displays Much Masculinity, Good Withers, Good Back, The Croup is Well Laid just Slightly Short, Very Good Fore & Hindquarter Angulation, Very Good Fore & Under Chest Development, Stands Correct in Front, Possesses the Desired Dark Eye, Moves Straight Front & Rear. Fluent Ground Covering Movement. Excellent Merit

Has also undertaken all the above that Eric is doing and has done, plus his Show Career is BLOOMING

Rab has done extremely well in the ALLBREEDS RING taking out his first CHALLENGE when only 6.5 months (beating Eric) and was also BEST OF BREED. Since then he has gone from strength to strength and now has 58 points towards his Title.

He has also done VERY WELL IN THE SPECIALIST RING with numerous wins & placings from limited apprearances.

At 12 months of age he went for his Hip & Elbow X-Rays and passed with flying colours with scores of      Hips "A'1/3  Elbows "Z" 0/0 & H-Neg.

On the 15th October 2005 just 6 days after turning 2 years he went to BREED SURVEY  with DR. KAREN HEDBERG  gaining his BREED SURVEY CLASS 1.

Height: 66cm, Depth Of Chest: 33cm,Chest Circumference: 84cm, Weight: 40kg, Pigment: Good, Coat: Normal, Colour/Markings: Black & Tan, Testicles: Well Developed.

Very large, strong, very good height to length proportions, masculine dog with very good head & expression. I would like to see a darker mask. Level withers, firm back, slightly short just slightly steep croup. Very good fore & hindquarter angulation where the upper arm while of good length is steep. Good chest proportions. Stands not quite correct in front. Steps correct rear, wide in front, slightly loose elbows. During movement shows good ground covering gait with very good reach, the drive could be slightly more effective. Very good temperament, outgoing, Gun Sure, Presented in slightly heavy condition.

Particular Virtures & Faults: A dog standing at the maximum of size. Very good strength of bone & masculinity. He could be slightly stronger in pigment. Very good balance of hindquarter angulation.

Advice for Selection of a Breeding Partner:  Care must be taken with size - smaller bitches only are recommended.  He would improve strength & hindquarter balance.

On October 16th 2005 under Judge Dr. Karen Hedberg, the baby of the OPEN CLASS he finished in 10th position, and given the GRADING OF EXCELLENT.

The following week on October 23rd he attended "THE HOBART DOG CLUB'S PEDIGREE DOGFEST 2005"

Judge of Groups 4 + 5 was   MR. ANDERSON (N.Z.) (who after the Show had a talk to us about our boy & his dad. He also imformed us that he was a Breed Surveyor & Specialist Judge as well as the Allbreeds).
