Pictured above are Siobahn Panache and her son, Siobahn Apollo. Siobahn KennelsOur kennel was founded in 1990 with the purchase of our first GSD, Maggie, from Quatorze Kennels. Although purchased as a pet, the qualities that we found in Maggie encouraged us to become more and more involved with this exceptional breed. Maggie (Quatorze Dallas) was our foundation female and our kennel exists largely because of the joy she bought to our lives.
Maggie's need for companionship during our long hours at work led us to purchase Bosun (Quatorze Perrier) and they were our constant companions through every leisure hour we could find.
Others followed Maggie and Bosun, but we have never allowed ourselves to lose sight of the fact that every animal in our home must first and foremost be our pet and companion, regardless of whether they become a show dog, breeding animal or just couch potato! To ensure that every dog has a quality of life that allows for them to be inside our home with us, out and about and generally part of the family, we have been mindful of containing our numbers to a manageable level.
Given our relationship with our dogs, we believe that the puppy you purchase should enjoy this status in your home. We therefore attempt with every litter to advance the quality of puppy we produce, so that the puppy you take home will have a long, healthy and happy life as your companion. Our animals have been exhibited with success, but more importantly we are grounded by the fact that everyone owner wants an animal that is physically and mentally sound, trustwothy and reliable in every situation and a dog that will become a welcome addition to their family.
We are not big breeders, choosing instead to invest the necessary time, effort and energy into raising our litters well. Our litters are raised inside our home and a top priority when raising puppies is to ensure that they are exposed to as many stimuli and experiences as we can give them, within the boundaries of safety for the puppy's welfare.
Litters are bred sparingly and with a view to keeping something from the litter for ourselves. If a litter is imminent, it will be listed on this site; we will accept expressions of interest from genuine, permanant loving homes.
