My husband Alan & I have been dog lovers since early childhood.  With Alans grandfather Martin Mellington & my maternal grandfather John E Hickmott were always breeding, training & racing greyhounds successfully, winning most of Australias most prestigous races, it was inevitable that their passion would be passed on to us.

We both had pet dogs since early childhood, mine a little foxy/corgi cross & predictably, Alans a retired greyhound.

After our marriage we purchased a lovely black & tan kelpie "Mutzi", who we lost, tragically at 2 years, so, heartbroken we immediately bought a sweet little red kelpie "Tinker".

Alan & I were both working, so we decided to buy her a companion so she would not be lonely during the day.

We purchased our first G.S.D. in 1971, a black male "Klute"..."Gerala Lord Rebel", as both of us had loved Shepherds as children, Alan vowing to buy one as soon as he had his own home, while I'd fallen in love with the breed, at about aged 10, after reading a novel "Rolf of Red Ridges" a story about the love between a G.S.D. & a crippled child.

We then added to our family, our second Shepherd 'Elsa"..."Dallallan Cosmic Glory" (From "Hagenstoltz Herdsman") We showed Klute & Elsa at All Breeds Shows including Adelaide Royal, & bred only 2 litters after which Elsa had to have a caesarean, and needed to be speyed due to complications.

That, combined with my heavy involvement with horse riding, breeding, coaching..(E.F.A. N.C.A.S. level One) & showing at National, State, Royal & Barastoc Horse of the Year level, halted our dog showing career.

However the dogs accompanied us everywhere, horse shows, holidays & outings, they were beautiful amazing & loving dogs, as devoted to us as we were to them.

After losing Klute to cancer at 8 years, Elsa to a stroke at 15 years & little Tink to old age at 17 years we were devastated.

Loving the breed so much & after losing Elsa we began our search for another registered G.S.D..Instead we ended up with an unregistered G.S.D. bitch "Anna", saving her from a  very neglectful home, skinny, flea ridden, wormy, almost bald & terrified. It took us ages to catch her, she just shook, no way could we leave her there. A year later we purchased "Max" also a rescue from the R.S.P.C.A., poor little baby puppy he was so sick with Parvo then anorexia, but after 2 weeks of Vets, drips, shots & heaps of T.L.C. he survived.

Anna & Max lived to 16 & 15 years respectively & it was the worst day of our lives when we had to let them go to Rainbow Bridge.

We still miss them now,  years later.

After 37 years of intense Horse Show Riding, Dressage Competitions,  N.C.A.S.1 Trainer, Standing stallions at stud & breedind our mares, Race Horse Trainer & much more, one day I suddenly  decided to retire, I have no idea why, BUT it was shortley after our much loved  dogs, Anna & Max had passed away.

I still LOVE  my  beautiful boys "My Bobby Dazzler" (J.R.) -passed away- 24/10/1981 - 27/3/10 & his son "My Limited Edition"... (Suave) -passed away-21/11/1991 - 23/10/10.

Special pretend daughter LEANNE (WALKER) BURTON, who stood "Suave at stud, ( married to Matt Burton on 27/2/10), has  a new colt foal , "Ossie", by "Suave" & out or one of their mares & born December 2010.

Very soon after losing our best doggie  friends, we purchased AUST CH *"Von Isar Ima Supa Chic" 'A Z' B.S.CL.11 C.C.D. (Aimee) from Vicki Dobson (fate playing a huge part in our choice--it turned out I'd known Vicki previously in the horseworld, plus Aimee was born the day Anna & Max were cremated.) --a choice we have always  been thrilled to purchase.

A year later, we were on the lookout for our "Boy" & were delighted to find  AUST CH "Spellbinda Mystic Force" 'A Z' E T (Tarot) from Alan Adams, another very wise choice.

Now we have our girl "FAME" she is by "TAROT" & out of "AIMEE". She is a stunner & has heaps of admirers already.---Her name is AUST. CH."STARMAKA MY GOOD FORTUNE" A.Z., we love her and  naturally we love "AIMEE" & "TAROT" as always.

We are constantly delighted, entertained & loved by our three "Pride & Joys", & an added bonus is that they are consistantly successfull at All Breeds Championship Shows, winning BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW.--- RUNNER  UP  EXHIBIT IN SHOW ---  BEST AGE GROUP IN SHOW --- BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP --- RUNNER UP EXHIBIT IN  GROUP --- BEST AGE GROUP IN GROUP --- BEST OF BREED --- RUNNER UP OF BREED --- CHALLENGES ---  RESERVES  WINS & now OBEDIENCE TRIAL, ENDURANCE TRIALS & fun.

"AIMEE" is now a C.C.D. TITLE WINNER & moving on to C.D. "TAROT" a E.T. Title  & "FAME"  starting to work on C.C.D. so all is FUN!

Our dogs are healthy, happy and friendly, & in our eyes "The Most Beautiful Dogs On Earth" ----Have a browse thru our site & we hope you enjoy your visit.
