We will soon be fostering retired racing Grehounds, to rehabilitate them into loving forever family homes.

We will be working closely with Grehounds as Pets (GAP) to care for these beautiful creatures and help them adapt to life as pets, before they are introduced into their family homes.

Although Greyhounds have been primarily bred for racing, they are becoming increasingly popular as pets. There is a good reason for this! Greyhounds are quiet, gentle and affectionate dogs, who become very attached to their owners. Despite their reputation as racing dogs they are not a high energy, hyperactive breed. They are actually very similar to Whippets and are incredibly lazy! They require enough exercise to keep them healthy both physically and mentally. Like Whippets, they also make very beautiful decorations on your sofa!
