Welcome to our website.

I am a Registered Midwife and my husband is a Veterinary Surgeon. We have both always loved and admired whippets and not only do we enjoy having them as part of our family,  I now have the time to indulge in a long time dream to exhibit and breed these beautiful dogs. Our whippets live with us on our beautiful block up in the hills, along with their feline friends Darcy, Jasper, Bad Harry and Dixie. Archibald - our Terrier cross breed rescue dog, keeps the Whippets on their toes!

Our whippets, like all our pets, are treasured family members and have their comfy beds inside the house with us. They are well travelled little socialites as we do a lot of camping and 4WD trips away together. 

We look forward to having some fun with our Whippets and contributing to breeding quality, versatile Whippets with beautiful temperaments.

THE FIRES.

2011 was a traumatic year for all of us, since we lost most of our property in the Kelmscott/Roleystone fires on the 6th of February. Our half acre block was completely burnt along with our pool area, pergola, verandahs, fences, vehicles and the outside of the house was damaged. Amelia, our second daughter, had only just been born and was sleeping when we realised how close the fire was and decided to evacuate. We loaded the two girls, Whippets, cats and photos into the car and evacuated. We were unable to return home for another 2 weeks and when we did it was devastating. Our neighbors had all lost their homes and we had a long rebuilding process ahead of us.

As a result, we had to send our beloved Whippet girls to our good friends Julie and Denise, over in QLD, as the block was no longer safe for them and we didnt have any fencing. It took us 10 months to repair and rebuild and at the beginning of 2012, my Whippet girls are still not home with me. We have sinced moved further north but still in the Perth Hills, in beautiful Parkerville, close to Mundaring.

But there is always something positive to come out of a tragedy! Whilst over in the eastern states, Scarlett will be mated to a lovely sire who resides there and we hope to begin our breeding program again. So although we still do not have our beloved Whippets with us, we are hoping to have Scarlett's babies join us here in perth sometime in May, once she is finished with her mothering duties!
