WARREE STAFFORDS

Original Type Stafford

Bodeaway Flamin Rage is an 18" / 38lb Stafford bred to the original 1935 standard. In my opinion a well balanced animal that has the physical attributes of his ancestry. Myself and a few other breeders set out to see if we could achieve the balance of the original standard dog and I believed that by using the right bloodlines and maintaining them this could be achieved. Alot of people are unaware of the changes to the stafford standard that was originally written in 1935 by the people who I believe were more closely associated to the stafford but in 1949 the show folk changed the standard and dropped the height by two inches and left the maxium weight unchanged resulting in a much shorter heavier dog.

Always being a fan of the more athletic dog, myself and a few others were keen at having a crack at breeding the 18" / 38lb dog. After breeding and showing dogs for roughly a decade and producing and owning over ten champions and also winning Best In Shows and C.C. Certificates at Speciality level with many successful kennels bloodlines and foundations being able to be traced back to Warree blood the pedigrees tell the story. I am a strong believer in a dogs pedigree and its bloodlines and how it was bred as this is the dogs make-up and heritage. As some people believe that the dogs pedigree heritage and parentage has little to do with anything and the only thing that matters is the dog they have at the end of their lead, I beg to differ. I have the utmost respect for the breeders and dogs that have come before me that has allowed me to carry on this great dog known as the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

After thirty years of closely being associated with bull breeds I've had plenty of time to test them within legal means in all sorts of ways. I have had the pleasure of seeing all sizes of dogs work in various ways and I have to admit the old fellas had it just about right in my opinion. An 18" / 38lb dog is extremely muscular active and agile and can maintain lasting strength and speed that was required for the original dog. Throughout the years of trying to achieve this goal none of the staffords characteristics were compromised and Rhaj is a delight to own being a muscular active and agile animal that is friendly with humans particularly with children which fits perfectly into our modern day era. Rhaj is owned by five children and he loves them with a passion. Cheers to Bodeaway and Bojharni Staffords who worked in closely to achieve this goal. All purebred regd Staffordshire Bull Terriers were used and no cross blood was introduced.
