Not only are the majority of our Bassets "Show Dogs", they are a huge part of our family too. They have been well and truly 'put to the test' as far as their temperaments are concerned as they have been brought up amidst my two young daughters (Shelby, currently 16 years old and Ella (AKA the Terror), currently 6 years old).

They have proven to be patient beyond belief when it comes to the children in this household but also the most loving individuals one could imagine. They continue to delight all who visit here with their outgoing personalities and outrageous characters! They are all individuals in their own rights but they are dogs that are not necessarily for everyone. Please read the "Care Instructions" on this website to ascertain whether a Basset would suit your lifestyle before embarking on purchasing one as you may find a Basset will own you more than you will own a Basset!
