"Duke"

"Duke" was a the FIRST GRAND CHAMPION WELSH SPRINGER SPANIEL IN AUSTRALIA, gaining his 1,000 points at just 18 months of age, under the old system where only Dog Challenge points counted.

He was a multiple BIS Winner All breeds and Specialty shows. Duke was a BIS winner at 18mths of age.

Duke is the sire of Ch Ggats Upthante. Bred by Goldmaid he was owned, shown and loved by my sister Kim Stagg. Kim moved to Darwin and that is where Duke lived his life out, swimming and relaxing in the heat. Duke passed away in 2002.

Duke along with his litter brother Rebel, where Royal Best of Breed winners and where a significant part in lifting the breed profile in the late 80's early 90's, as both boys where Best In Group and In Show winners regularly.

Both had beautiful natures which helped make people aware of this wonderful breed.

Duke will always be in everyone's minds for his outgoing nature and his beautiful sound movement, his lovely head and body. Perfect in many ways!
