We live in the foothills of the Western Tiers, 10 minutes from Deloraine, in Tasmania, Australia.   We have 38 acres of mostly bush, with a spring fed dam for the dogs to enjoy, and they make the most of their morning and afternoon runs.

We have owned, shown and had some limited attendance at obedience with pure bred dogs since 1976.   We registered our TAZLON prefix in 1985, and started breeding with bullterriers.   In 1991 Phil's long awaited vizsla arrived, Carri and we obtained our first two welshies, James and Sasha.

Our son Ben, started with his border collie, Jedi "Bear".   Our daughter Peta began with Sasha, pictured at one of her first shows, she was a successful child handler.

My passion is with breeding, although Phil has commented on numerous occasions he would be happy with just one dog each.  This is where "selective deafness", taught to me by the welshies comes in very handy, I'm sure after enjoying a large "pack" and all their antics for so many years he would feel lost without them!  We choose our puppies with future breeding in mind, looking for correct conformation and sound movement, sometimes at the expense of the type we are aiming for, however I am very pleased with the outcome of some recent litters and litters sired by our boys.  It is lovely to see a healthy litter of happy, outgoing puppies all moving well.  Even if they don't make it to the big lights of the showring, soundness will stand them in good stead for hunting, showing, obedience, the dog sports, family pet or whatever life brings them.  The challenge continues!
