Ch N. Ch Andisa Little Devil

Harry is my little energizer bunny, always on the go, as a youngster he really lived up to his name of Little Devil. He is a showman the moment he steps foot in the ring. Harry had a lot of success even though he wasn't shown all that much. His first time in the ring was at the Pug Club of Vic Open show, winning his class at 7 mths old, he wasn't shown again until he was 9 mths old winning his first points over some pretty tough competition. I don't know why I but kept holding Harry back, I just felt he wasn't quite ready yet. It was a few months later until I brought him out again and boy did he prove me wrong.

I never imagined just how far he would go. In just 6 months Harry, Leanne and Paige were on a mission taking out Best In Show at the Pug Club of Victoria Open Show 2018 - backing it up with a Best In Show at the Pug Club of Victoria Championship Show 2018 - then again taking out Best In Show at Bairnsdale & District Kennel Club 2018. There are 6 shows over 4 days at the Bairnsdale and District Shows, Harry took out 1 x Best In Show, 4 x Best In Group, 1 x Runner Up In Group. Harry only needed 32 points to gain his title and over the long weekend, he was awarded 122 points - what a fantastic way to celebrate his Championship title.

I feel I ripped Harry off going further with his show career as I decided to leave him home so we could bring the young Pugs out. During this time Harry was never happy being left behind, he knew what was going on and voiced his opinion when things were not all about him. Just shy of Harry's 5th birthday I was watching him running around the backyard, he always held himself nicely and is the type of dog you just don't ignore when you see him on the move. So why not, he still had it so I decided time to put some entries in - but this time he would be shown as a Neuter. His first show back and Harry was Best Neuter In Group and I can't tell you how thrilled we all were when he went on to win Best Neuter In Show. The next 2 shows he was Best Neuter In Group and Runner Up Neuter In Group taking him almost half way to his Neuter title in just 3 shows. Sadly due to Covid 2020 and 2021 has been very limited shows due to the constant Covid lockdowns.

Update: After yet another long break from showing, we ventured out again and went to Yarram for the Yarram and District Canine Club (March 2022) shows, 3 shows over 2 days. Harry won 1 x Best Neuter In show. 1 x Runner Up Neuter In Show. 2 x Neuter in Group and 1 Runner Up Neuter in Group, giving him the points needed to gain his Aust Neuter Champion title in only 7 shows in the Neuter Class. I was going to retire Harry again after he got his neuter title but he won't be happy staying home any time soon, he has earned the right to choose when he is ready for retirement.

.. just thinking back to when Harry was a youngster and I would have been happy if he just stopped eating my walls.
