Mandy's level of socialisation of the puppies is the reason her German Shepherds are such a pleasure to work with. Her playpen area provides varied distractions and experiences for the pups that mean they are confident and curious, not anxious about new environments.
My boy Jackman was the runt of the litter and hand fed to ensure he was healthy and loved. He is now nearly 23 months and those characteristics have been vital to the response to training and to the personality he has. I love that focus on building the essentials for this breed from an early age.

When I picked up this little man "Kona" over a week ago, I told the breeder Mandy that he just won the lotto. But actually.......I am the one that just won the lotto!!! In our short time together we have developed a very strong bond, he comes running when you call his name, has already mastered sit, shake a paw, down and is very calm and content in his crate when I am busy. He is curious with the horses and waits quietly and watches while I feed the piggies. He is a velcro pup and has already put on a few miles following me around as I do my chores. He is going to make an awesome riding and camping partner in a few years, He is an outgoing little fur ball with lots of moxy!!!! Yes.....I am the one that won the lotto!! Thank-you Mandy for breeding and raising such a well adjusted GSD!

We cannot thank you enough for how wonderful you were throughout the whole journey of selecting our new mate Rosie.

As you will recall, Isla had been so wanting a companion that would help her feel safe and overcome her at times extreme anxiety. Particularly in the evenings, when everything we tried did nothing to help her. Isla kept talking about a German Sheperd for over 2 years, despite being terrified of dogs etc.

You came recommended from various associations as a special breeder, with incredible dogs. From my first call to you, explaining the situation, u could not have handled it any more kinder, or professional, and with genuine intent. You suggested we come and visit, see how Isla reacts, and take it from there.

From our very first visit, where Isla hid behind my legs the whole time, to our regular visits, you took her little hand, and gained her trust, with such patience. Several months later, you suggested the best Mum for a puppy, and once pregnant, you allowed Isla to visit each week, to see which puppy looked best suited to her and watch the bonding.

By staying close to you each visit, you carefully observed a bold and daring pup, with a great patient temperament. It was clear early that little Rosie had picked Isla, simply by staying close to her each visit, as other puppies came and went. We treasure the photo we have of you and Isla, the day we picked up our new family member, u were both beaming.

It was amazing to watch Isla outside at night, from the first day, with Rosie. Isla was too scared to go out the back at night ever. Fear was gone, she had Rosie now. At puppy school, when puppies were off lead, Rosie would have a ball, however, when other dogs came near Isla, she would simply return, sit upright between the other dogs and Isla, with a leg on Isla. The trainer looked and said that is one bonded friend for life.

Rosie is perfect, won’t stray far from Isla when we are outside, v different with us. Last week when I went to take Rosie for a walk, she jumped, pulled, laid down and would not get up, and began to cry. Her cries were loud enough for my wife to come out, thinking something was wrong. Isla came out, up gets Rosie, calmly licks Isla. I gave the lead to Isla, and the perfect dog was back. Leaving Isla at night, was a no. I tested this during the day, no problems, again at night, no Isla, no walk.

Rosie is not even 5 months old, but they are so bonded Mandy, we cannot thank you enough. Rosie is the perfect mate, and a beautiful family friend.

We got our puppy from Mandy 2 years ago but the journey started long before that! I kept messaging her and asking so many questions while we were waiting for the right time to get our puppy. Despite all of this Mandy never made me feel like I was annoying (although I’m sure I was at least once or twice). When we finally got to pick up Nandi (our beautiful little 8 week old puppy) it was as though Mandy had known us our whole lives. We have contacted Mandy with all our questions and she has put our minds at rest and helped us over the past two years. She loves receiving videos and updates of Nandi and has come to visit her even though we live about an hour away.

We will never look anywhere else for a beautiful and well bred GSD and couldn’t recommend Castastar Kennels enough. Nandi is a healthy and active GSD and loves her exercise and learning new things. She also loves being inside on the couch, on the bed and watching TV with us at the end of an exciting day!

I can only say amazing things about Mandy! Her dogs are pure angels. She  is so passionate and knowledgeable about the breed. Takes the utmost pride in her breeding lines! She is so supportive and happy to help well and truly after you pick up your pup! We are lucky to have one of her pups and yes he is a dag but he has the nicest, calm nature! We will definitely be getting our second pup from her later on.

After looking for a boy for a long time the chance to have such a special boy from the gorgeous Castastar Evita was icing on the cake for us.
A confident baby boy full of life that has won our hearts in only a few days.  Fully health tested parents from a breeder with great knowledge, care, devotion and love of the breed was another bonus.

A few years ago after speaking to several Shepherd breeders we were incredibly fortunate to find you Mandy. Not long after that we welcomed home our first gorgeous Boy Puppy. Now a few years later we have just welcomed home our second beautiful Castastar baby boy. Mandy your knowledge and genuine love of shepherds is very obvious.
The temperament of your dogs and the beautiful puppies you breed is exceptional. Both puppies we have welcomed home have been very happy and well adjusted clearly from a loving home. The ongoing support that you have shown us has been amazing, no question no matter how random has ever been an issue and not only in the initial few days or weeks after bringing home our new family member but months and also years later. Our experience both times has been nothing short of wonderful. Keep doing what you are doing you are a huge asset to the German Shepherd Breed. We look forward to when we can welcome home another Castastar Baby. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Mandy & Warren, with all my heart I wish to thank you for my beautiful boy, Toto (fluffy, Fletcher, boof) . The F-Troop turned 2 last week end. You have no idea what having this dog in my life has done for me. You breed beautiful, amazing and incredibly well natured dogs. Thank you .. thank you .. thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Murray & 'Kobi'   (Castastar Flyboy) 21/04/16

On Thursday, March 24, we met Kobi (aka Dark Blue Boy, aka Flyboy) at Qantas Freight out at Perth Airport. Kobi had come to us from Castastar German Shepherds. I contacted Mandy about a month after my GSD, Remmy had passed away. Once Mandy sent through pics of her "F" litter, I just knew one of those pups had to be mine. Now, we live in WA and choosing a pup is such a personal thing. Not being able to see, play and spend time and connect with a pup in person was a worry for me. Mandy was very sensitive about this and very understanding. We spoke and texted each other often and based on her feedback and all the positive comments on Mandy's facebook page we chose Dark Blue Boy. The Castastar website is impressive also. There is plenty of pics and info about Kobi's mum and dad.

Now, as for Kobi; well he is simply magnificent. Smart, easy to train, calm, well mannered, excellent temperament and drop dead gorgeous. He is everything (and more) that we wanted.

Thank you Mandy. Your German Shepherds are absolutely stunning and thank you for choosing a gem for us ............... Kobi !

I have known Mandy & Warren Doyle for over 15 years through both the German Shepherd breed club and the dog 
obedience world  and have always been very impressed with their dogs and their training methods.

Over the past few years, I've quietly observed the very high quality and standard that the Doyle's have been breeding 
from their own kennels - Castastar.  To me, as a fellow obedience competitor, trainer & obedience judge, the most 
important aspect of any dog, regardless of the breed is the sound temperament and the behaviour of the dog.

From the moment I collected my male puppy at eight weeks of age I was extremely impressed - Mandy supplies a bag of dog food along with a goodie bag of toys, leads etc and a book for each puppy which gives a complete outline of the sire and dams full pedigree, genetic analysis report, breed survey certificate, hip and elbow scores, care and feeding guidelines amongst many other helpful hints and guidelines.

For the first time puppy owner, this is without a doubt  the best and most informative guidebook I've ever come across.

If you want a stunning GSD with an outstanding temperament and disposition then I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a Castastar German Shepherd puppy.
