(See the website "Versatility in Poodles"). They have a long history as entertainers, especially in circuses and as street entertainers. This is, no doubt, due to their high intelligence and willingness to please, as well as their balance and agility. I taught tricks to my miniature rescue as she was not permitted to participate in Obedience Trials (up until a couple of years ago). She won her weight in dog food on quite a few occasions.
